Newsletter Term 3 Week 1 (21.7.22)
Dear Parents
Welcome back to Term 3. How quickly this year is going and what a start. On Tuesday we thought it was going to be a beautiful day that quickly deteriorated into atrocious conditions. We were very excited to open up the new playground for the Primary classes. We went through the rules and the days that each class has been given to use the new equipment. We showed each class how to use the climbing structures correctly and THEN it rained and has not stopped all week. We hope that all the Primary grades will next week be able to use this new addition to our playground. We would like to thank the St Anthony’s Forum for their generous contribution towards the new activity area.
Monday was a Pupil Free Day for the students. The teachers attended a Professional Development Day on Religious Education in Byron Bay led by Dr Dan White PHD. It was a wonderful presentation with a great deal of insight into understanding the readings of the Bible.
Congratulations to Will Middleton for competing in the PSSA NSW Championships at Sydney today in Cross-Country. This event was watched live by all of Years 3 &4. It was a very difficult course and Will made his school and family very proud as he performed extremely well.

It was exciting that Year 3 were able to watch his race on live stream in the classroom. It was challenging in wet conditions and a fast race. What a fantastic effort to be placed in the top 50% of runners. Well done William!
