Students belong to three house teams that promote connections to our Catholic story and a deeper sense of belonging. Houses are used for sporting events, assemblies and gatherings.

  • Presentation House is named after the founding educators in our Diocese, the Presentation Sisters. The colour of Presentation House is blue.
  • Leonard House is named after Fr Eamon Leonard, the first Priest of St Anthony’s Parish. The colour of Leonard House is gold.
  • MacKillop House is named after Australia’s only Saint and a founding figure in Catholic education in Australia, St Mary of the Cross. The colour of MacKillop House is red.

Our School Patron Saint is St Anthony of Padua, a Catholic priest and friar of the Franciscan Order, born Fernando Martins de Bulhões in 1195. He came from a wealthy Portuguese family and died in Padua, Italy, in 1231. St Anthony was noted for his powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture and undying love and devotion to the poor and sick.

St Anthony was canonised less than a year after his death. He is the Patron saint of Portugal, its capital, Lisbon, and the poor.

Students' Prayer to St Anthony

Blessed Anthony, brilliantly endowed with Christian wisdom, I wish to place my studies under your protection.

Guided by your example, I wish to draw my best knowledge from the lives of Jesus and Mary.

May God the Father of Light grant me, through your intercession, a clear understanding, a retentive memory and a sound judgement.

Assist me to study with perseverance so that I may develop God's gifts in me and use them according to His will.

I ask, through you, for success in my examinations as long as it is for God's honour and my true benefit.

Amen.

Prayer for Trust in God

St Anthony of Padua, you endured much discouragement in your life before finding your calling.

Help us to find patience in our own lives and trust God to lead us where we need to go.

You preached by example; help us to show others through example the truth of our Faith.

Amen.
